    POLE


    Slender, French fancy type pods with excellent taste. Better quality than Blue Lake types. Isabel is an improved Westland prized by the Dutch, producing 6”, slender, medium-green pods on 6-7ft vigorous healthy vines. White-seeded variety is excellent for freezing/canning. Medium-early maturing variety for outdoor production.


    Pole beans require trellising and grow continuously on a main stem, producing a group of beans at each nodule, and eventually off suckers. We prune the top of the main stem once it reaches as high as we can pick. From there the suckers will produce. We recommend you plant multiple plants to have a continuous supply throughout the season for a family.
