Jaune Flamme tomato is a highly productive, French heirloom variety known for producing 2-3 inch, persimmon-orange fruits with red-streaked flesh. It offers a juicy, tangy, and slightly acidic flavour. Excellent for salads, drying, or cooking, retaining flavor when preserved. Semi-determinate habit, reaching about 4 feet tall. Requires staking but can be pruned to be more like a determinate plant. Pick daily as they ripen quickly on the vine.
This French heirloom is said to have been first cultivated as early as the mid 1700s.
